Manifestation: Creating The Life You Truly Want Through Energy & Action

All that we are is a result of what we have thought

Buddha

There is no single definition of manifestation, and no single explanation of how it works- it’s rather subjective and tailored to the individual. Manifestation can be compared to the Law of Attraction; the often spiritual essence of manifestation teaches us that the energies that we exert can often return to us in the form of things we desire, that being happiness, money, love or maybe even that promotion you’ve been longing for.

Manifestation is all about creating the life that we truly want through energy, visualisation and of course, action. Whilst the universe does play a part in turning our dreams into reality, it does fundamentally come down to us to curate our own success. Unfortunately, sitting on our asses and expecting to be rewarded for it is not how manifestation works.

There are endless amounts of manifestation techniques that people have tried and found success in, however there is no guarantee that the same method will also work for you. These methods can range from journaling– writing in a notebook each day (or as often as you can) about your short-term and long-term goals, thoughts and ideas, all the way to the 55×5 law of attraction method in which people write down their aspirations fifty-five times for five days in order to put their desires out into the universe.

Whilst no single technique is right or wrong, they all share the same idea: that you ought to stick to your desires, manifesting in them as often as you can until they come true. There’s no point in abandoning your manifestations after a few days of not getting what you want. Manifestation is unlikely to work if there’s no emotion attached to what you’re manifesting; if you aren’t really feeling and desiring your dreams with great passion, it’s unlikely that you’ll do whatever it takes to achieve them and in turn, it’s unlikely that the universe will work in your favour.

By already picturing all that you desire, you can trick your subconscious into believing that you really can have all that you’ve ever wanted, and that you truly deserve all that you’ve dreamed of. This may come unnaturally at first or maybe seem a little strange, but it’s definitely a manifestation method that not only works for many, but helps create a mindset that attracts greatness.

Whilst I’ve tried many methods of manifestation, the one that I’ve been utilising the most and have seen the best results from are the utilisation of mood boards. I often find myself creating collages featuring numerous images centred around a certain topic- whether it’s travel images of places I desperately want to visit, quotes to increase confidence, self love and self-worth or simple pictures of the life I hope to one day live and curate for myself (featuring lots of champagne and all the shoes I’ll ever need).

I’ll often set these collages as the lock-screen or home-screen on my phone, this way I’m constantly exposed to visualisations of what I desire the most and it reminds me take action towards these aspirations every single day (even if that action is a single step in the right direction).

When it comes to manifesting, I recommend visualising your hearts greatest desires down it’s finest detail. Picture where you want to be in life, who you want to be in life, and what you want to have in this life to the fullest, without holding any part of yourself back. Immerse yourself completely into your dreams- think about them, dream about them, really feel them everyday. Change your I can mindset to I will and I have. Make a small choice or decision everyday that will set you on the right path towards these aspirations, this way it’ll feel as though you’re constantly on your way to these accomplishments.

Never forget that success is a combination of determination to succeed with a dash of luck gifted from the universe; what you greatly wish for will be yours.
